Sheet metal fabrication software for custom fab shops

One sheet metal job is dozens of parts, bends and finishes, all priced by hand. Factory builds the quote from components you have already costed, then follows the job through to what it made.

Built for custom fab shops of 1 to 50 people High-mix, low-volume, make-to-order Live in weeks, priced for smaller shops

§02 IS THIS YOUR SHOP · SHARED - SELF-QUALIFY CHECKLIST
IS THIS YOUR SHOP

We built Factory for sheet metal fabrication shops like yours.

Factory gets the pricing out of one person’s head and into kits anyone can quote from, the schedule off the spreadsheet, and the quoting done before you go home. Then it shows you what every job actually made, before the job is finished.

1 to 50 on the floor
No two jobs are the same
The schedule is a whiteboard or spreadsheet
Pricing is mostly done from memory
The floor is disconnected from the office
Quoting often happens after hours
What a job made is a guess until tax time

§04b OLD WAY vs FACTORY · VARIANT SLOT - QUOTE WORKSHEET vs PRODUCT KIT
FEATURE SPOTLIGHT PRODUCT KITS

In sheet metal fabrication, every job is a one-off, and every quote starts from a blank worksheet.

The worksheet works, right up until the one person who knows how to price it is busy. Then the quote waits, and so does the job. Factory prices a custom job the way you build it: raw material off your own price list, the labour to fold, weld and finish it, and the fixings that go with it. Save that as a kit and the next job that needs the same work is priced from it, so anyone in the office can price it.

WHAT THE WORKSHEET COSTS YOU
Every quote starts from nothing.
One person can price it, so quotes sit for days.
Material goes up, the worksheet does not.
WHAT YOU GET WITH PRODUCT KITS
A saved kit prices that work again in one line.
Anyone in the office can quote from your rates.
Change a material price once, every kit re-prices.

IT WORKS ON MOBILE TOO
Price it up before you leave the job.
Pull up a kit on the phone, add what this one needs, and send the quote while you are still standing in front of the work. Nothing written on the back of a docket and nothing to type up again when you get back to the office.
§04c SECOND SPOTLIGHT · PAPER TIMESHEET vs KIOSK MODE
FEATURE SPOTLIGHT KIOSK MODE

Nobody knows what a job cost until the timesheets are typed up.

On a lot of small jobs, the hours are the cost. Today they get written on a docket, or remembered at the end of the day, then typed up on Friday. Factory has the crew clock on and off the job from a shared screen on the floor, so the hours are on the job while the work is still happening.

HOW IT WORKS NOW
A clipboard of paper timesheets hanging on the shop wall under a clock, hours filled in by hand with entries crossed out and rewritten, a biro on a string beside it

WHAT THE PAPER TIMESHEET COSTS YOU
Hours are written up at the end of the week, from memory.
The job is finished before you know it ran over.
Someone in the office types up what everyone else wrote down.
WHAT YOU GET WITH KIOSK MODE

§05 PROFITABILITY · SHARED - COPIED FROM THE LANDING PAGE, WORDED FOR FAB WORK
KNOW WHERE THE MONEY GOES

The jobs that lose you money look exactly like the ones that don't.

A quote is an estimate until the hours and the material land on the job, and on most jobs that is not until it is finished. Factory tracks estimated against actual across labour and materials as the work happens, so you see what a job is making while it's still on the floor - not months later at tax time.

Watch the quoted margin hold or slip before the job ships - estimated against actual on every one-off.
Margin broken down by labour and materials, so you can see which one ate the profit.
Price the next job from real numbers, not the last guess.

§03 FOUNDER STORY · SHARED - COPIED FROM THE LANDING PAGE
WHO YOU'RE BUYING FROM

We were in the same position you are.

We ran our own custom fab shop, and every tool out there was an enterprise ERP built for the big 5%, or made by people who never worked in the industry. Nothing fit shops like ours. So we built it ourselves - not just for our shop, but for every custom fab shop that's outgrown the spreadsheet but has no business buying an ERP.

"You're buying from a family that ran a fab shop for almost 50 years - and built the software it always needed."
